Thanks for washing our souls last week, Ibeyi

By some divine nature we stumbled upon a poster for this show at Fortune in Vancouver last week. We looked them up and were hooked on their sound within 30 seconds of the first song. The band’s name, Ibeyi, means twins–and this pair of 19-year-old Cuban-born, Paris-raised sistersĀ are definitely something special.

The show was magical, as expected. And to the crowd’s delight, they interacted with everyone in English, French and Spanish. They were so endearing that a line-up formed to meet them as soon as they exited the stage.

Here are our post-work pre-drink outfits!
